In Full Swing!

Summer (and the heat!) are in full swing here in Florida. Here's what we've been up to recently...

*Bianca's Debut as Photographer*

As you can imagine, I try to keep the camera handy at all times because I never know when there it going to be one of those super sweet/funny moments that I need to capture. Lately when downloading pictures, I noticed SEVERAL on the camera that I did not take myself. Of course, there were many others of toilets, rugs, etc. but, I didn't think they would be of interest to all of you!

*Swimming with Friends and the Making of "Yucky Sidewalk Chalk"*

After swimming, Bianca and Vanessa decided to make "yucky chalk" which is sidewalk chalk dipped in water. They then proceeded to make themselves up with it...eyeshadow, blush, toe nail polish, etc. I found them like this and before I gave them a lecture on why we don't put yucky chalk on our face, I just had to take a picture!

*More Swim Lessons*

I took this video of Bianca this past Monday. Today she was out in the pool with Mark and they called me out to watch. She was swimming from one side of the pool to the other and back again all by herself! It is amazing to see what she has accomplished in just a few short weeks...going from a non-swimmer to a little fish! I will have to catch it on video and post it ASAP!

Summer So Far...

We are off to a wonderful start this summer! Sorry to those of you who have been checking in with no new updates. Between gymnastics, swim lessons, play dates, visitors, and trips, we have simply been having too much fun to stay home and blog! So here is a little catch-up...

Play-date at Julianna's in Boca - the girls love playing with Jules, especially Bianca. What does Bianca not like? Having her picture taken as evidenced by these photos where she refused to look at the camera. She must take after her Mommy...

The girls both recently started gymnastics class. Bianca is in a class on her own but, Ellia is with Mommy. Here Bianca is doing work on the balance beam...

Auntie Parissa came in town to visit us for a few days...the girls LOVE seeing her!

Finally, Bianca started swim lessons recently. These videos are from her second lesson. Before her first lesson I was bracing for kicking, screaming, crying. But, Bianca surprised me and has been extremely cooperative with whatever her swim instructor asks her to do. In fact, when the lessons end, she gets upset. So we signed her up for two lessons a week instead of once/week but, she would gladly go every day! I will have to update with more swim videos soon because by her third lesson she was already swimming a little on her own. We are really proud of her!

The only thing that makes the end of swim lessons a little easier is the ice cream waiting for us!
