Mimi and Poppy

Happy Girl!

Poppy is a pro at the bottle feeding!

Mimi and Poppy came to visit last week for a few days and Bianca was so excited to see them! Unfortunately, Mimi came down with the flu while she was here but, Poppy and Bianca had a great time together. Poppy was a great help; he gave Bianca a bottle, he changed her diaper and kept her occupied while she was awake. He even gave Bianca her first dance lesson as he waltzed her around the house!

Bianca continues to change every day. She now rolls over from her tummy on to her back both ways. She loves when Mommy sings "The Itsy Bitsy Spider" song to her. Apparently, that is hilarious! She started sucking her thumb (much to Daddy the dentist's dismay) and now prefers that to her pacifier. Mostly she is just a lot of fun to be around since, she is always smiling and laughing about something. We enjoy her more and more each day.

Bianca and her girlfriend, Layla

We headed back to CA this past weekend to visit with some friends and family. Our first stop was in San Clemente where we were fortunate enough to stay with our friends, Erin and Jason Molino, in their beautiful home. Erin Konen joined us on Friday night and we celebrated my birthday with a delicious dinner followed by Sprinkles cupcakes (YUM!). On Saturday, Mark's parents drove up for lunch so Bianca could visit with her grandparents. We met them at El Ranchito and then walked through the shops of downtown San Clemente. After lunch we visited our friends, Randy and Julie, and their adorable baby, Riley. On Saturday night, Randy, Julie and Riley joined us at the Molinos and we all had a great time eating Wahoo's, drinking wine, and catching up.
Our next stop was in Calabasas where we stayed with Nate and Goli and their baby girls, Kimia and Layla. Bianca had a great time getting to know her new girlfriends and the adults had a good time eating amazing Persian food from Nate's restaurant.

Bianca was such a good baby during the trip. She slept in her car seat during the drive back and forth and didn't cry once (phew!). She was also great about sleeping in her Pack and Play at night. We can't wait for our next vacation!

Our Favorite Valentine

Just wanted to show off some pictures of our favorite Valentine, Bianca.

Not much has happened since the last posting, however, Bianca has started rolling over from her tummy on to her back as of Sunday. She really took me by surprise when she first did it. I laid her down on her tummy for our "tummy time" ritual and very quickly I saw her on her side. I went to catch her because my first instinct was that she was falling but, then I remembered that she was probably learning to roll over. That is exactly what happened! She is getting to be such a big girl.

We are looking forward to heading out to CA this week for Bianca's first mini-vacation with our friends. We should have some more pictures when we return. Until then, Happy Valentine's Day!

Lots of Visitors

Bianca and Dolores

Bianca and Pop-Pop Jim

Bianca and her Great Great Aunt Sarah

Bianca and her Great Grandmother (GiGi)

Bianca had a lot of visitors this past week. First her great-grandmother (GiGi) came to visit along with my Great Aunt Sarah and Uncle Sam early in the week. Bianca was so excited to meet all of them! She barely recovered from her excitement over her first set of visitors when her Pop-Pop Jim and Dolores arrived for the weekend. She definitely received a lot of attention, hugs, and kisses from them all.

Bianca also had her two-month check-up on Friday and she now weighs over 11 lbs! She is in the 50% percentile for both weight and height and the doctor says that she is progressing really well. She did receive her first set of vaccines which was not fun for any of us, however, Bianca was a trooper. She was a little fussy Friday night but, seemed to be back to normal on Saturday.
Also, Bianca has been sleeping through the night now for about a week straight! We feed her at 10PM and she sleeps until 7AM when we feed her again. Mommy and Daddy are both extremely grateful.
