More from Art Class...

Here are a few from art class today...Every time Bianca and I talk about art class she says, "dolphins" because of the shapes that we made out of clay a couple of weeks ago. Today she painted her clay shapes (including the dolphin), participated in some finger-painting, and made a beautiful necklace out of beads!

Showing off her new necklace to her little friends at art class...

Very messy!

And one more of Bianca with her elephant... She has about 10 million animals that she has to sleep with at night and during nap time and the elephant is just one of them. Some of her other favorite things right now are sitting in the cars, popsicles (or "pop-pickles" as Bianca calls them) and ice cream. Don't ask me where she got the obsession with ice cream. Even though I eat it virtually every night, I do it AFTER she goes to bed. I told Mark it just must be in her blood!

Crazy for Cars

Well, she doesn't get it from me, that's for sure. Bianca is crazy about sitting in the front seat of any car she can get her hands on. She is particularly fond of Daddy's "black car". She sits in the drivers seat, pretends to steer the wheel, puts the key in the ignition, talks about the pedals, etc. She requests to "sit" in the cars about a million times a day and throws tantrums if her request is denied. So I guess she looks like Mark AND takes after him in the car fetish department?

In addition, here are a couple of Bianca and her Papa Teddy or simply "Teddy" as she likes to call him from our recent trip to San Diego.

Pancakes, Tickles and Bubbles

Parissa came out to visit for a few days this past week. It was an exciting trip because it was the first time that Parissa heard her little niece say "Parissa" in person. While Parissa was here, I made sure to take her and Bianca to have the most fabulous banana and chocolate chip pancakes this side of the Mississippi! Bianca loved the pancakes and she also loved the tickles she received from her "Auntie P". She even tries to imitate the words Parissa would use when she tickled her, "tickle, tickle...TICKLE"! Bianca and Parissa also had a good time in the backyard blowing "big" bubbles (as requested by Bianca). Can't wait to see you again, Auntie P!

First Art Class

Since Mark and I don't really have a creative bone in our bodies, I figured I should enroll Bianca in an art class to give her some sort of a fighting chance in this department. So off we went today. Bianca made a letter "B" with lots of buttons and different colored pasta glued onto it, she cut different shapes out of clay and she also was able to work with "magic" paper. All in all, she had fun. Her favorite part of the class was making dolphin shapes out of the clay. She kept asking for "more dolphins" and so we did. She poked holes in the dolphins to give them eyes and carried her prized possessions all around the classroom. I think next time we are there we are going to paint the clay shapes...I will take pictures of her progress to share.

Fever Broke

Bianca's fever finally broke yesterday and today she broke out in a rash...guess Aunt Traci was right (again!) - Bianca has roseola! At least she is feeling better although she still doesn't look quite like herself. I am thankful because my happy baby had just been so sad and cranky over the past few days. We were going to meet up with a bunch of friends for the day but, since she is still contagious we stayed home and did some finger painting and water coloring instead.

This is very serious work!

Enetertaining Bianca

Mark and I have been quite busy the past few weekends trying to clear everything out of our office to make way for Bianca's new "big girl" room. Needless to say, our upstairs was quite a mess over the weekend. During that time, I was trying to entertain Bianca while helping Mark...not an easy feat! Here are some pictures and a video of our little trooper. She hung in there even with a nasty fever she has been fighting since Friday :-(

She loves playing with Daddy's cars...and she loves sitting in our cars and "driving"!

In her new closet (minus the paint).

Smiling but, you can see in her eyes that she does not feel well!

"Reading" her book!
