New Friends

Although we miss our friends in Vegas dearly, we have been fortunate enough to start making some new friends here in Florida.

Brianna is not technically a new friend to us since she is Mark's goddaughter and Mark has known her since she was inside her Mommy's belly. But, she is a new friend to Bianca. Here are some pictures from earlier this month at Brianna's 9th b-day party at Wannado City.

Brianna always takes such good care of Bianca!

Happy B-day, Brianna!

While we were at Wannado City, Bianca was able to ride on a train, airplane, carousel...she even had her nails done at a beauty salon and sharpened her culinary skills by pretending to be a chef and baking cookies...

We lucked out and have some great next-door neighbors. Bianca has really enjoyed meeting Vanessa and Christian, going to their house, playing with all of their toys (especially their dinosaurs, train track set and bouncy horse) and having them over to our house to play as well!

Bianca, Ellia and I also met up with one of my friends from high school, Lisa, who lives here in South Florida. Her daughter, Julianna, and Bianca are very close in age so we thought we would get everyone together at an indoor play center called, A Latte of Fun. There was tons to do there from dress up to a trampoline to a slide that landed in a foam pit. Needless to say, fun was had by all!

Bianca was a little reluctant about the trampoline at first but, once she warmed up to the idea, I could barely pry her off! Let's just say there was a bit of a meltdown when we had to leave this place to go home and take naps.

Our Favorite Spot

We've only been in Fl for a short time now but, we have already established our family's favorite spot. Of course, it involves food...pizza, to be exact along with the perfect Italian salad and meatballs that are served in an amazing sauce with just dollop of ricotta on the side...and just when you thought it couldn't get any better, a slice of New York style cheesecake is waiting to take you from pure bliss to heaven!

It's a place where nose kisses are plentiful...

...and Ellia anxiously awaits her food! "When the heck is it coming, Mom?"

Once it arrives, she can't get enough to fill that bottomless belly!

Wait...What Just Happened???

How the heck did we go from this....

to this????

Yes, Bianca started her first day of preschool this morning and although we knew it was coming for a while now, there is really no way to prepare yourself as a parent to let your little "baby" go. We talked about what she was going to do at school for the past few weeks, "you are going to say a prayer and the pledge of allegiance, then you are going to sit in a circle with your classmates and talk about the weather, day of the week, letters, you are going to have a snack and go outside and play...". The usual preschool stuff. I let Bianca pick out a lunch box on the computer and we anxiously awaited it's arrival in the mail. She has become a little obsessed with the "Under the Sea" themed bag and has played with it ever since she was able to get her grubby little hands on it. This morning she told me how excited she was about going to preschool. But, when it came time to hand her off to her teacher, this is what happened...

Fortunately, it was pretty short-lived and I was able to keep it together (for the most part) as she made her way into the classroom. I was able to peek my head in and if you look closely, you will see my big princess finding her way to the crayons.

I know she is in great hands at her school with loving teachers who are going to teach her not only about numbers and letters but, God and being kind and giving to others...all of the wonderful stuff that is going to help Bianca blossom into the little lady she is already becoming.

BUT, I can't wait to pick her up today!!!

The loves of my life...
