Introducing...

...Baby Tadrissi! Expected to arrive at our home sometime in November! We will keep you up to date as to whether or not Bianca will have a baby sister or baby brother. It probably won't be until the end of June because that is when my next ultrasound is scheduled. Not sure how we are going to wait that long but, I am sure the time will fly by!!!
Bianca, of course, has no clue what is going on with the baby. I asked her tonight where the baby was in Mommy's belly and she acted like she was ignoring me and walked out of the room. To my amazement, she came right back in with a framed ultrasound picture of herself...guess it is okay to let her think the world still revolves around her - at least for a little while longer!

Congrats to Our Moms!

We were in San Diego again this past weekend (sometimes it seems as though we live there). While we were there, we attended a surprise retirement party for Mark's mom, Zarin! She was very surprised and we enjoyed yummy Mexican food, a delicious cake, and time with friends and family. We are very proud of both of our moms; my mom retired in December after a long career at the railroad and Zarin is officially retiring next month from her teaching position.

Unfortunately, I did not take a lot of pictures over the weekend and I did not get a lot of pictures of Bianca at the party. I am hoping that Parissa has some more of Bianca from the entire weekend and I will post those as soon as I receive them.

Pigtails at the Park!

Bianca and I met Amy and Francesca for some fun at the park today. The weather was beautiful and the girls were so excited to be outside playing. Bianca just kept giggling as she climbed all over the play equipment and went down the slide. I was a little brave this time and let Bianca go down the slide with almost no help from me - she did really well and it just reminds me of how BIG my little girl is getting! After the park we went out for lunch. As we were driving away from the restaurant to go home, Bianca said "bye-bye" for the first time! Well, she actually said it many, many times all the way home. Hopefully she will keep it up so her Daddy can hear her tonight!

Amy brought Bianca some of the no-spill bubbles and Bianca would not put them down!

See...bubbles!

Easter '09

Happy belated Easter! We were in CA again for the holiday weekend. First we went to San Diego to visit Mark's family and some of our friends down there. Then we headed up to San Clemente to visit with the Molinos, Chars and Erin Konen. Unfortunately, we were all so busy playing with the kids and catching up in San Clemente that I forgot to take any pictures :-( Fortunately, I was able to take some in San Diego. As you will see, Bianca was busy as usual there...She ate lots of yummy Persian food and even shared some with Grandmom Zarin. She played a lot on Grandmom's bed with some new green beads, spent time visiting with her Great-Aunt Shahnaz, received lots of Easter gifts and was even able to spend time with her Aunt Marisa (in town from NJ on business).
Before we left on our trip, Bianca went to her first Easter egg hunt. I have decided that it will probably go down as the windiest Easter egg hunt in history so we weren't there for long. Bianca was in the 1-3 year age group and she wasn't really sure what she was supposed to do. As soon as she figured it out, she starting making her way to the eggs but, the older kids were too fast. She was able to pick up two eggs though and I am sure that next year, she will have a lot more in her basket!

A Musuem, Sharks, and Donuts!

We had a jam-packed weekend! We took Bianca to the Lied Children's Museum here in town on Friday and Bianca had lots of fun with the new exhibits. She was able to go grocery shopping, learn about car mechanics, water flowers, build sand castles and a whole lot more! On Saturday morning, Mark took Bianca to Dunkin Donuts to pick up some goodies for all of us and she looked so cute in her "I Love Chocolate" hat that Daddy snapped some shots of her before they left. Yesterday, we went with the Gregoryans to the Shark Reef Exhibit to see fish, sharks, crocodiles, sea turtles and more. Bianca and her little friend, Francesca, had a lot of fun learning about animals that live in the ocean together!
Brace yourself for LOTS of pictures!

She "helps" me water the plants at home too!

Hmmm....do I want some chicken?

Let's get some donuts!

Mimi's Back!!!

Mimi came to visit us for a week recently and she kept Bianca busy! She took her to the playground almost every day, introduced her to sidewalk chalk, and gave her plenty of hugs and kisses. We were able to make it to the Springs Preserve one of the days that she was here and Bianca loved the children's play area and walking the trails looking for birds.
In addition, we went to the Usher's for a b-b-q last weekend and Bianca had lots of fun riding in the toy Jeep with the twins, playing with matchbox cars, and pulling the boys around the yard in their wagon.
On another note, Bianca went to the doctor last week for her 15-month check-up. She is now 20 lbs. (12th-15th percentile) and 31 inches (50th-75th percentile)!

First with Sean...

Then with Colin!
