Family Weekend

Looks like someone needs a nap...

Bianca got to spend a lot of time with both her Mommy and Daddy this weekend since Daddy was home Friday-Sunday. We mostly just hung out with her and tried to make her smile and laugh. She is able to laugh a little now which pretty much consists of a smile followed by a couple squeaky noises. She makes us laugh so hard when she does it!
Also, we were finally able to get some pictures of her in her "big girl" bathtub and her pink bunny bathrobe from Mimi.
Hope you enjoy the pictures of Bianca's weekend!

All Smiles

Bianca has been consistently smiling at us this week. It has been such a nice treat to see her respond to us more and more each day. She smiles the most when we mimic the little sounds that she makes... she thinks that is really funny! I tried taking some pictures of her smiling this week but, it was not the easiest task. There is a red eye reduction flash that goes off before the picture is taken and our litle girl seems to change her expression just before I can capture the moment. Even as I post these pictures now, I have to tell you that they do not do her justice. For those of you who have not met her yet, you have to see her in person... she is too cute!

Other than that, Bianca and I have been getting out of the house more and more. Bianca is becoming a pro at sleeping in her car seat while we are out running errands and visiting friends. She was also weighed on Monday and is now up to 10 lbs. 1 ounce. We can not believe how fast our little piggy is growing!

There Is a First Time for Everything

Bianca with her cousin, great aunt and great uncle

Bianca and Grandmom Zarin

Bianca has had lots of "firsts" this past week. She slept in her crib for the first time last night. Mommy and Daddy were a little nervous and sad to let her go but, she seems to be happy and we are hoping that she will sleep better in her crib than in her bassinet in our room. Bianca also had her first outing out with Mommy besides our routine trips to the doctor's office. And where did we go? Target, of course! Bianca did great, she slept in her car seat the entire time and didn't make a peep. Mark also started giving Bianca a bottle again and, thank goodness, she took it without any problems.

Bianca is definitely becoming more vocal now; she loves to talk to the animals that hang in her activity gym. She also loves to watch the animals on the mobiles in her crib and swing. She is getting much better at going down for her naps during the day and still waking up about once a night to eat. She is such a joy to have and we feel so blessed to have such a good baby.

Mark's family also came back to Vegas for a short trip this week so Bianca got to meet more of her relatives.

My One Month Update

Hi everyone! It is me, Bianca. Mommy and I have had a busy day. I have been eating lots and lots and playing in my activity gym. I am pretty good at batting the animals in there, especially the blue monkey, he is my favorite. I have spent some time on my tummy and Mommy says that I am really strong for such a little baby; I can lift my head really well. I am also a good sport about it and I don't cry at all.

I went to see Dr. Nishihara yesterday and he said that I am growing beautifully. I weigh 9 lbs. 1 ounce and I am 21.25 inches long. Here are some pictures of our day so far! I'm off to take a nap before my bath. Hugs and Kisses!

Bianca's Modeling Debut

Thanks for the hip outfit, Aunt Chara and Uncle Jim!

Mike Tyson has got nothing on me!

We tried to take some pictures of Bianca for her birth announcement. Some turned out pretty cute and others were just plain funny. We later found out that our camera was in the wrong setting and the pictures weren't large enough for the birth announcement that we ordered so we are back at square one. Oh well, another photo shoot for Bianca!

Othat than that, Bianca has been busy playing in her bouncy chairs, her activity gym and her swing. She is starting to be a little more vocal and the cooing sounds that she makes are our favorite sounds in the world... there is nothing like them! She is following us more and more with her eyes now, which is nice because we feel like she is starting to figure out we are her mom and dad as opposed to just some contrasting shadow. Bianca has also been taking baths in her big girl bath tub now - no more sponge baths for her! She is actually really good in the bath, doesn't cry.

Today we are going in for her one month checkup so we will fill you all in on her progress soon!
