We have been having so much fun with Bianca lately! We had professional pictures taken of her on Sunday by the best children's photographer in the world (in our opinion), Jennifer Wilson. The pictures should be ready in about two weeks and we will be sure to post the link to them so you all can enjoy them as well. We were a little nervous about how Bianca would behave during the shoot since she isn't really used to big black cameras clicking in her face but, she was great! We also went to the park this week to meet the Usher boys and some other friends. Bianca mostly slept and ate while we were there but, it was really nice to be out on a beautiful day. Bianca finally got to meet the Degan twins, Maya and Sophia, today. They are getting so big and I know that before long, we will all be meeting at the park in Queensridge together. We weighed Bianca while we were at the Degan's house because they have a baby scale and Bianca is now 12 lbs. 11 ounces. She can also roll over from her back to her tummy now as we realized this morning when we went to pick her up from her crib. She had been rolling over onto her tummy for a while but, she was never able to pull her one arm out from under her. I guess she figured it out last night!
Little Miss Serious... wonder who she got that from?
Bianca's favorite pastime, chewing on her hands.
Bianca and I surprised Mark over the weekend and dressed her in her official Porsche onesie. Of course, that made his day! Bianca also had her first attempt at sitting in her BeBe Pod/Bumbo Seat over the weekend and she did such a good job sitting up strong and tall. We were really proud. Our little Munchkin is growing up! Enjoy the pictures!
Our little princess is now wearing size 3-6 months clothes. I can not believe how quickly she is growing. I truly never thought I would see the day that these clothes would fit! Mark's parents and sister were back to visit again over the weekend and we had fun dressing her up in some of her "new" clothes.
With Mark's family here, we were finally able to go out on our first date since Bianca was born. Of course, we missed her the entire time and even had to look at her pictures and videos on Mark's iPhone while we were at dinner. We had a great time though and it was good to get out for sushi - yum! We were also able to go and visit Mark and Inga's twin girls who are now about a month old and just as cute as can be!
Bianca is such a happy, content baby. She will be three months old tomorrow. She is now constantly chewing on her little hands and laughing at us when we make funny noises. She is definitely our greatest joy in the world!
Mimi and Poppy came to visit last week for a few days and Bianca was so excited to see them! Unfortunately, Mimi came down with the flu while she was here but, Poppy and Bianca had a great time together. Poppy was a great help; he gave Bianca a bottle, he changed her diaper and kept her occupied while she was awake. He even gave Bianca her first dance lesson as he waltzed her around the house!
Bianca continues to change every day. She now rolls over from her tummy on to her back both ways. She loves when Mommy sings "The Itsy Bitsy Spider" song to her. Apparently, that is hilarious! She started sucking her thumb (much to Daddy the dentist's dismay) and now prefers that to her pacifier. Mostly she is just a lot of fun to be around since, she is always smiling and laughing about something. We enjoy her more and more each day.
We headed back to CA this past weekend to visit with some friends and family. Our first stop was in San Clemente where we were fortunate enough to stay with our friends, Erin and Jason Molino, in their beautiful home. Erin Konen joined us on Friday night and we celebrated my birthday with a delicious dinner followed by Sprinkles cupcakes (YUM!). On Saturday, Mark's parents drove up for lunch so Bianca could visit with her grandparents. We met them at El Ranchito and then walked through the shops of downtown San Clemente. After lunch we visited our friends, Randy and Julie, and their adorable baby, Riley. On Saturday night, Randy, Julie and Riley joined us at the Molinos and we all had a great time eating Wahoo's, drinking wine, and catching up.
Our next stop was in Calabasas where we stayed with Nate and Goli and their baby girls, Kimia and Layla. Bianca had a great time getting to know her new girlfriends and the adults had a good time eating amazing Persian food from Nate's restaurant.
Bianca was such a good baby during the trip. She slept in her car seat during the drive back and forth and didn't cry once (phew!). She was also great about sleeping in her Pack and Play at night. We can't wait for our next vacation!
Just wanted to show off some pictures of our favorite Valentine, Bianca.
Not much has happened since the last posting, however, Bianca has started rolling over from her tummy on to her back as of Sunday. She really took me by surprise when she first did it. I laid her down on her tummy for our "tummy time" ritual and very quickly I saw her on her side. I went to catch her because my first instinct was that she was falling but, then I remembered that she was probably learning to roll over. That is exactly what happened! She is getting to be such a big girl.
We are looking forward to heading out to CA this week for Bianca's first mini-vacation with our friends. We should have some more pictures when we return. Until then, Happy Valentine's Day!
